JOHN R. P. LA VOIE
John R. P. La Voie is the President at John R. P. La Voie CPA, Ltd. Prior to founding the company, John was a Tax Manager at a mid-sized public accounting firm, focusing in the firm’s Manufacturing and Distribution Service Group and Specialty Tax Credits Group. He has been practicing since 1999. He founded his own firm in October of 2010 to narrow his focus to serve the strategic tax and accounting needs of his entrepreneurial and high net worth clients.
John is a Certified Public Account (CPA) and holds a Bachelors in Accounting as well as a Masters in Taxation from Northern Illinois University. John has special expertise in comprehensive strategic tax planning for businesses and individuals. His varied experience also includes tax consulting for manufacturing and service enterprises.
John is also a member of the National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP) and a member of the Illinois CPA Society (ICPAS). He is an active member of the Elgin Moose Lodge and has been a participant in the Internal Revenue Service Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program.
MICHAEL W. CARNEY
Michael Carney is President of MWC Accounting Inc. Prior to founding the company, he was an auditor for a mid-sized public accounting firm that focused on financial statement audits and government compliance. In business his goal is to provide cost-effective strategies to help his clients manage their business.
Michael is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds a Bachelors and Masters in Accounting from Marquette University. He is also a member of the Illinois CPA Society (ICPAS) and is active in the entrepreneur and start-up community in Chicago.
